Orange arrows F1 team road show

The Bank provided the sponsorship support for the launch of the OrangeArrows Formula One team, which took place at the Planet 2000 exhibition area, London. The climax of the event was the unveiling of the Arrows F1 car, newly painted in orange. Model Caprice and sports presenter John Inverdale were also at the launch to increase publicity opportunities.

As well as the event, The Bank designed, built and managed the worldwide merchandising and sponsorship stand for the team during 2000 and 2001. The stand accompanied OrangeArrows at many races, including Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur and European dates. It was the largest ever of its kind, selling more merchandise than any of the other F1 team stand with the exception of Ferrari.

The Bank also produced TV commercials in Cuba and South Africa within very short timescales. These commercials were shown on the Star satellite network to an audience of over 120 million people.

The Bank only had four days to organise the launch, which included sourcing the venue, painting the car, and creating, launching and managing the event. The result was a great success. The launch also created substantial press coverage for Orange.
