Prosciutto di San Daniele recently offered The Bank team the wonderful chance to fully immerse ourselves in the product, the place and the people of San Daniele, creating additional content in our role as the brand’s UK creative agency.

Swapping the grey skies and urban landscapes of London for the hilly, semi-rural scenery of north-east Italy, we jumped at the opportunity to experience all that the Friuli Venezia Giulia region has to offer.

From being honoured with the privilege of seeing a one thousand year old manuscript in the town library, to getting behind-the-scenes access at several prosciutto producers, the team spent three days immersed in the culture, cuisine, heritage and history of San Daniele.

Prosciutto di San Daniele is a truly unique, artisanal product which has been crafted over years by a select group of dedicated producers. Made solely from the meat of pigs born and bred in Italy, there’s only one other ingredient added – sea salt.

Naturally air-cured, with no additives or preservatives of any kind, the prosciutto is, as the Italians (and we at The Bank) say, “delizioso”!
