Introduction

As part of engaging the services of The Bank Agency Ltd, you may agree to register a new domain name via the .UK registry Nominet. To better enable this, we are a .UK registrar, interfacing direct with Nominet. We do not involve any resellers or third parties as part of this process.

As a registrar, this can also include us administering.UK domains on your behalf on our Nominet “Tag”, which includes handling the renewal, expiry, transfer of ownership and transfer of registrar.

You can choose to handle all of the above yourself, via third parties, and you will be presented with all options during our ongoing correspondence. If you do choose to engage The Bank Agency Ltd in any part of your ongoing domain name management as a .UK registrar, the following terms apply.

Customer Service Level commitments

At The Bank Agency Ltd, we are dedicated to offering our clients outstanding service. If you need assistance or have any inquiries about our products, please send an email to reception@thebank.co.uk and we will reply quickly, usually within 48 hours.

We strive to answer all your questions ourselves whenever possible, however we may sometimes need to refer you to one of our partners for further help. In such occasions, we will let you know.

Complaints and appeal procedures

If you want to submit a complaint about any of our services please submit your request via email to reception@thebank.co.uk with the subject line “Complaint about your service”. You will receive a reply with a unique reference number, please include this reference number in all correspondence. Complaints will be addressed promptly, usually within 48 hours.

If you are not satisfied with our response and / or resolution of the matter please contact us with more information and we will escalate the matter internally and will reply within 48 hours.

Abuse contact

If you suspect any of the domain administered by us are subject to any abuse please contact us by email. Please include the domain name as well as all relevant information (screen shots etc.)

If you would like to report abuse please use reception@thebank.co.uk and use the subject line “Abuse”. We will endeavour to respond within 24 hours, Monday – Friday.

Domain Name Management Terms

When The Bank Agency Ltd are chosen to manage domain names on your behalf and do so via our own Nominet tag, we typically make no additional “mark up” versus what we pay Nominet. This applies to domain name registration, renewal and management.

All domain names managed via our Nominet tag will be programmed to renew automatically for a period of 12 months unless you advise us otherwise. For instance, we stop our business engagement. In this instance instruction will be sought to transfer your domain to another Nominet registrar, under your management. Should no such instruction be in place, domains will lapse under the usual conditions as set out by Nominet and under the date of your expiry of your domains.

No charges are levied for the management of domains, changing contacts, transferring domains or releasing domains (domain no longer required and to be deleted).
